We are seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation to lead our finance department. The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day financial activities of the organization and supervises the finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial operations and processes.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, including financial analysts, accountants, and clerical staff.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members to support their professional development and growth.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports and statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to management, shareholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to set financial targets and allocations.
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Provide recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency based on analysis findings.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve controls, and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Implement changes and best practices to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to financial policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software to support financial reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance system functionality.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • 5+ years experience in a leadership role within a finance team.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
