POSITION OVERVIEW

SENIOR FULL-STACK REST API DEVELOPER

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Rest API Developer to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will own the full-stack of software products, developing and implementing frontend (web or mobile) and backend services. You will leverage test-driven development and continuous integration to ensure agility and quality of products.

 

You will work alongside other developers, architects, project managers, and operations professionals to help develop and support new applications. We need candidates experienced in working with Rest API yet are familiar with multiple languages (.NET, C#, Java, MS SQL). The right candidate is self-motivated and self-managed with a demonstrated analytical ability and curiosity.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the development group, you will work within a team of developers creating, maintaining, and growing cutting-edge applications while finding new and creative ways to improve our application experience. 

 

  • Build new microservices using the right language/tool for the job
  • Work alongside the IT Department on internal infrastructure, applications, and related projects
  • Collaborate with product owners, technical team members, business stakeholders, and designers to implement enhancements or new applications
  • Substantial day-to-day coding, performing profiling, optimizing, and general troubleshooting
  • Engage in technical planning, design, and code reviews
  • Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to existing solutions to ensure reliable functionality and optimization
  • Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues to resolve issues 
  • Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
  • Design and update software databases; experience in database optimization is a plus
  • Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and or reports as requested
  • Possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using good judgment
  • Provide post-implementation support and maintenance by leveraging industry best practices and methods
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry
  • Willing to learn new technologies, share your ideas and assist other team members as needed
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Strong desire to grow with the company and deliver valuable results

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates should be positive, driven, and confident individuals that will represent the company and its customers professionally at all times. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • University degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of technology development and implementation experience
  • Experience in a general-purpose programming language including but not limited to: Rest API, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, or PythonPrevious experience with software development
  • Experience testing and debugging developed code
  • SQL Server experience includes performance tuning, query optimization, stored procedures, user functions, XML, and database triggers
  • A pro-active communicator who solves minor problems before they become significant obstacles
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks for several projects at the same time
  • Ability to achieve short and long-term objectives with minimal direction
  • Known for reliability, responsiveness, attention to detail, and ability to deliver high-quality work product
  • Results-oriented, resourceful individual with interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, follow, collaborate and influence
  • Ability to jump into a new code base and make suggestions and impactful improvements with the team is required

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Must be authorized to work in their country of residence (The United States or Canada)
  • Must be willing to submit up to a LEVEL II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint.  Job offers are contingent on background/security investigation results

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
